At ec99, baccarat is more than just a game — it's an experience. From standard tables to live VIP baccarat tables with real dealers, we provide a fair, safe, and enjoyable environment for all Malaysian players. Deposit from RM20 and play anytime, anywhere.
Baccarat is one of the oldest and most beloved casino games in the world — and in Malaysia, it holds a special place among online casino players. It's easy to pick up, rounds move quickly, and it offers better winning odds than many other casino games.
The core concept of baccarat is straightforward: you predict whether the "Player" or "Banker" hand will land closer to 9. You can also bet on a Tie. No technical skill is required — it's more about reading patterns and making smart bets.
At ec99, we offer a wide range of baccarat variants to suit every type of player — from newcomers trying it out for the first time to seasoned players looking for the challenge of a high-stakes VIP table. HD streaming, professional dealers fluent in Bahasa Malaysia, and a responsive interface make the baccarat experience at ec99 truly stand out.
Sample baccarat hand — hand value is based on the last digit of the total
Follow these simple steps and you'll be ready for your first table
Log in to ec99 and choose from the baccarat table list — standard, VIP, or the faster-paced Speed Baccarat.
Select your chip size and place your bet on Player, Banker, or Tie before the betting window closes.
Two cards are dealt to both the Player and the Banker. A third card may be drawn according to the drawing rules.
The hand closest to 9 wins. Your winnings are credited instantly to your ec99 account.
In baccarat, each card carries a specific value that differs from most other card games. Cards numbered 2 through 9 are worth their face value, while 10s, Jacks, Queens, and Kings are all worth 0. Aces count as 1. A hand's total is calculated by adding up all the cards and taking only the last digit — for example, a hand containing a 7 and an 8 (totalling 15) has an actual value of 5.
This means the maximum hand value is 9, known as a "natural" — an automatic win with no additional cards required. If either hand is dealt 8 or 9 from the first two cards, it is a natural and no further cards are drawn for either side.
| Card | Value |
|---|---|
| 2 – 9 | Face value (2–9) |
| 10, J, Q, K | 0 |
| Ace (A) | 1 |
| Example: 7 + 8 = 15 | Value = 5 |

A road map is a visual tool used by experienced baccarat players to track decision patterns at the table. At ec99, road maps are displayed automatically at every table — so you can analyse trends before placing your bets.
The three most popular road map types are: Bead Road (each round recorded in sequence), Big Road (consecutive hand records within a column), and Big Eye Boy (for more detailed pattern analysis). That said, keep in mind that baccarat is a game of chance — road maps are a helpful guide, not a guarantee of winning.

Tips and strategies to help you play smarter — not just more
| Strategy | Description | Risk Level |
|---|---|---|
| Always Bet Banker | Banker carries a lower house edge (1.06%). The safest long-term strategy on ec99. | Low |
| Avoid the Tie Bet | While the 8:1 payout looks attractive, the house edge on a Tie bet sits at 14.4% — far too high for consistent play. | High |
| Set a Loss Limit | Set a loss limit before you start — for example, RM200 per day. Once you hit that limit, stop. It's the best way to keep the game enjoyable. | Important |
| Flat Betting Strategy | Bet a fixed amount every round without increasing or decreasing your stake. Helps manage your budget and extend your playing time at ec99. | Low |
| 1-3-2-6 Strategy | Increase your bets following the 1, 3, 2, 6 unit sequence on consecutive wins, then reset to 1. This can maximise profits during a hot streak. | Medium |
Baccarat is a game of chance. No strategy can guarantee a 100% win rate. Play smart, set your limits, and enjoy the experience.
Banker: 1.06% | Player: 1.24% | Tie: 14.36%. Bets with the lowest house edge always give you better value over the long run.
Many Malaysian players who have tried baccarat at Genting Highlands or other casinos know how thrilling the real table experience can be. But not everyone has the time or means to make that trip every time they want to play. That's where ec99 comes in.
